All About Hamburg, written by Marion E. Wood in 1999, is a detailed examination of Hamburg, New Jersey’s history. Marion was an original founder of the Hamburg Historical Society. Dr. Wood was extremely helpful throughout the creation of this digital library. Chapter 19 of the book is a thorough treatment of the history of the Gingerbread Castle which was researched through the town’s historical materials, interviews with individuals associated with the workings of the Castle and it’s construction. It includes several photographic images.
